SANIA

Director/Responsible Individual

Sania is one of the founding Directors of Silver Lining Fostering Agency and a social worker by profession. With a wealth of experience in fostering services, including private and statutory settings, Sania holds a leadership role at the Agency. Her role allows her to meet and get to know a range of different people, and she is committed to ensuring that children in care receive the best possible care and support.

Sania is a workplace coach, holds a Level 5 award in Leadership and Management, and a Diploma in Systemic Supervision. She is passionate about advocating for the rights of people from the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities, using her expertise to ensure that SLF is an inclusive organisation championing the rights of under privileged sections of society. Sania is also a foodie and enjoys traveling, taking the opportunity to try different cuisines and learn about different cultures. She is known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and strategically. Her proactive approach and willingness to take on new challenges make her an invaluable asset to SLF.

DIPTI

Director/Agency Decision Maker

Dipti is the co-founding Director of Silver Lining Fostering Agency, overseeing placements and the overall performance of the agency. With over 15 years of experience as a qualified social worker, Dipti has extensive expertise in fostering and adoption services, spanning both private and statutory settings. Her commitment to providing high-quality care for children in need is evident in her leadership and management of the agency.

In addition to her social work qualifications, Dipti holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, as well as a Diploma in Systemic Supervision. She is a firm believer in equality and advocates for diversity and inclusion in all aspects of her work.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Dipti has a keen interest in art, craft, and decorating. She also enjoys good music, stand-up comedy, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. Her multifaceted skills, passion for social work, and dedication to diversity and inclusion make her a valuable leader at Silver Lining Fostering Agency.

SALLY

Registered Manager/ Chief Executive Officer/ Panel Advisor

Sally is the Registered Manager for SLF. She received an honours degree in Social Work from the University of Durban, Westville, South Africa in 1991. She moved to the United Kingdom in 2001. As a social worker, she has practised in a range of different posts from community development to child protection for over 30 years.

Sally’s most notable appointment was Head of Service of the Tri-Borough Fostering and Adoption Service (Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster Councils) in 2012. She distinguished herself as a leader with phenomenal and innovative practice skills and knowledge which led to her venture into consultant and trainer.

Sally is well known as an outstanding and innovative thinker in the field of social work. Her depth of experience and knowledge in both the public and private sectors makes her ideally suited to her current role. Her unwavering commitment to making a meaningful impact to the lives of children in care is contagious, inspiring those around her to take action and make a difference.

When she is not in the office, you will find her training and developing foster carers and other professionals or baking cakes – which is her other passion.

BILLY

Business Development Manager

Billy is SLF’s Business Development Manager and is responsible for driving business development initiatives.

Billy’s role involves analysing referrals received from Local Authorities, identifying the risks and needs of the child, and matching them with the most suitable foster carer available at the time.

He is results-driven professional with a successful track record in business development, effective communication, and problem-solving. Billy has a solution-oriented mindset, a strategic thinker with excellent people skills, and has led teams and liaised with diverse clients across various industries. Billy has chosen to further his career in Fostering as he is committed to making a meaningful impact on the community through his work.

Billy has a passion for exploring outdoors, keeping fit and rowing.  When he’s not rowing or working out, Billy enjoys reading books on health and fitness, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

SARAH

Deputy Team Manager Recruitment and Assessment/
Fostering Reviewing Officer

Sarah has been associated with SLF since 2019, her role within SLF is was a Form F assessor and a Fostering Independent Reviewing Officer; chairing foster carers’ annual reviews. Now here role involves recruitment of foster carers for SLF. In addition to this, she also undertakes Standard of Care Investigations and facilitates the skills to foster training that all applicants complete prior to being approved as foster carers.

Sarah is a qualified social worker and a systemic practitioner. She has years of experience working as a social worker in statutory settings prior to becoming an independent consultant.

Sarah is a motivator, she encourages staff and carers to excel in their work and is always available to offer support and information. She is resourceful, charismatic, approachable and skilled at writing analytical reports.

ALBINA

Supervising Social Worker

Albina is a qualified and experienced social worker who has dedicated her career to improving the lives of others. She has worked with both children and adults, providing them with the support and guidance they need to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Albina is skilled at building strong relationships with her foster carers and children, working collaboratively with them to create personalised plans that meet their unique needs.

Albina’s passion for social work is evident in everything she does. Whether she is working with clients or pursuing her own interests, she is dedicated to making a positive impact in the world and helping others in any way she can. In her free time, Albina enjoys reading a good book or listening to music, finding both to be a great way to unwind and recharge.

GENEVIEVE

Supervising Social Worker

Genevieve joined Silver Lining Fostering (SLF) in 2021 as a Student Social Worker and had  taken on the role of Placement Officer. She is a qualified social worker.

Genevieve’s role now involves supervising foster carers. She also plays a key role in marketing the availability of SLF foster carers to Local Authorities, sharing information on SLF services, and building strong working relationships with them.

With her charming personality, confidence, and willingness to speak her mind, Genevieve is a valuable asset to the SLF team. Her passion for food and enthusiasm for work lunches and parties add to her vibrant presence in the workplace.

BERNADETTE

Supervising Social Worker

Bernadette is a supervising social worker with Silverlining Fostering Agency and she hold an Honours in Social Work along with a Bachelor’s in Criminology from South Africa. Her professional journey has led her through diverse experiences, including working in multi-disciplinary settings. Notably, in two of her previous roles, she served as the Chairperson of an Outreach Project in her community. This responsibility not only compelled her to advocate for the social work profession but also to exercise professional judgment in various situations.

Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds solace and rejuvenation in activities such as walking, hiking, and cherishing moments with her family. She believes in the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle, which allows her to bring renewed energy and perspective to her work. She is passionate about leveraging her expertise and experiences to positively impact the lives of those she serves.

MUNAZZAH

Supervising Social Worker

Munazzah is a seasoned professional with a Master of Arts in Social Work and a rich background spanning 17 years in advocacy, fundraising, human resource management, and family and school-based care planning. Her expertise predominantly revolves around her dedication to improving the lives of children and young people.  She has dedicated her career as a social work consultant, particularly in school settings, where she collaborates closely with children, parents, teachers, and other professionals. Her ability to build strong networks and relationships has been instrumental in her success. Munazzah’s core social work skills include empathy, cultural competence, and effective communication, which she applies diligently in her interactions with diverse individuals and communities. One notable aspect of Munazzah’s approach is her proficiency in using storytelling as a therapeutic tool to address the challenges faced by children, leveraging narratives to foster resilience and well-being. Her commitment to creating a world of happiness and care for children is evident in her dedication to this innovative practice.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Munazzah is an adventurous spirit with a passion for travel, particularly indulging in jungle safaris and exploring the underwater world through diving. Additionally, cooking serves as a creative outlet and another avenue through which she expresses her zest for life. Munazzah’s multifaceted interests and deep-rooted compassion make her a dynamic and influential figure in the field of social work

MRUNALINI

Senior Business Administrator

Mrunalini, lovingly called Mru, joined Silver Lining Fostering in 2018 after working as a qualified Early Years Educator. In her role at SLF, she manages the business support services, oversees Finance, and liaises with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations of the agency. Mru is known for her confidence, organisational skills, and team-player attitude, ensuring that SLF’s goals are met at all levels through her excellent work.

In addition to her professional skills, Mru is also an amazing cook and enjoys treating the team to sumptuous South Indian cuisine. Her culinary talents add an extra dimension to the agency’s work culture, creating a warm and inclusive environment. Mru’s dedication, expertise, and passion for her work make her an invaluable asset to Silver Lining Fostering, contributing to the agency’s success.

SURAJ

Office Manager

Welcome Suraj, our Office Manager. Suraj is responsible for overseeing training, data management, and HR functions within the organization.

He plays a crucial role in providing relevant and accurate business data and information to senior managers, facilitating informed decision-making for current and future business operations. Additionally, Suraj ensures that foster carers have access to necessary training information and supports them in completing required trainings efficiently and effectively. Furthermore, he manages the recruitment process as the hiring manager for agency staff, ensuring that the organization maintains a skilled and qualified workforce. Additionally, Suraj has initiated and currently runs a support group for young people, providing them with a platform for sharing experiences, seeking guidance, and fostering a sense of community and support.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Suraj has a passion for adventure and exploration. He has traveled extensively to destinations such as Nepal, Jordan, India, and Australia. Notably, Suraj has trekked to Everest Base Camp, demonstrating his adventurous spirit and determination. In his leisure time, he enjoys activities such as fitness, music, and hiking.

TANYA

Fostering Recruitment Officer

Meet Tanya, our Fostering Recruitment Officer here at Silver Lining Agency. Tanya is an experienced marketer, her role in the Agency is categorised in to the following areas: Panel Administrator which includes coordinating panels and taking minutes, recruitment of Foster Carers, supporting recruitment with generating and taking enquiries and initial assessments, managing and leading on marketing campaigns, managing Social Media presence and SLF website, developing marketing materials.

DANIELA

Independent Social Worker

Daniela graduated in Italy with a Diploma in Social Work and a Degree in Sciences of Social Work.
Upon moving to the UK in 2005, she embarked on her professional journey within the Local Authority. More recently, she transitioned to Independent Social Work. Joining SLF in 2023, she takes on responsibilities as a Form F assessor and a Fostering Reviewing Officer. With a robust background in Child Protection, Looked after Children, and Fostering, Daniela brings valuable expertise to her role as a qualified social worker. Daniela prioritises establishing rapport and trust with applicants/foster carers as well as the team she works with. She upholds values such as respect for individuality, freedom of expression, and transparency, which contribute to her reputation as a reliable and trustworthy professional—an asset to the agency. Known for her supportive and empathetic nature, Daniela is committed to assisting individuals in realising their full potential.

Daniela loves travelling, discovering new places, and experiencing different cultures. She is adventurous, enjoys challenges and isn’t  afraid to step out of her comfort zone adjusting easily to new situations.

BETH

Education Advisor

Beth joined SLF in March 2022 as an Education Advisor. With previous experience at the Virtual School for looked-after children in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, as well as serving as a deputy head and interim Virtual School Head, Beth brings a wealth of expertise to her role at SLF.

In addition to her work in education, Beth is also a qualified teacher and Systemic Practitioner. She has been working as a consultant for the Reflective Fostering Programme at the Anna Freud Centre, showcasing her dedication to supporting children in care through innovative and holistic approaches.

Outside of work, Beth is also a seasoned flute player, showcasing her diverse interests and talents. Her multidisciplinary background and commitment to improving the educational outcomes for children in care make her a valuable asset to SLF and its mission to provide the best possible care and support to foster children.

FOZIA

Independent Social Worker/ (Therapeutic Support)

Fozia is a registered Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Royal Holloway, University of London. With extensive experience in the Children and Family sector, including frontline work in child protection and looked after children, as well as court work, Fozia brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

In addition to her social work qualifications, Fozia is also a qualified Systemic Practitioner, and has worked therapeutically with children and families in various settings, including CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and adolescent inpatient units within a hospital setting.

Outside of work, Fozia enjoys traveling and learning new languages, showcasing her passion for exploring new cultures and experiences. Her diverse skill set and commitment to providing therapeutic support to children and families make her a valuable asset to any team within the social work field.

ABDUL

Young People’s Mentor

Meet Abdul Kabeer, our Young People’s Mentor here at Silver Lining Agency. With a passion for helping young people improve their well-being and develop independent living skills, Abdul is instrumental in creating and implementing strategies that make a positive impact. Not only is he highly skilled in communicating in five different languages – English, Arabic, Urdu, Dari, and Pashto – but he is also adept at building strong and meaningful relationships with young people. Abdul’s emotional intelligence and critical thinking enable him to gain insight into their challenges and provide guidance to enhance their social and life skills. Currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LLMs) degree at Brunel University London, Kabeer previously worked as a coordinator of the Educate An Orphan project, which helped over a hundred orphan children in Afghanistan attend school regularly, achieve better exam results, and develop a more positive self-image. Kabeer uses his varied experience and skills to design and deliver meaningful interventions for the young people of SLF.

AMIE

Independent Social Worker/ Fostering IRO

Amie is a qualified social worker with experience of working for local authority and IFA.  She has been working with SLF as an assessing social worker since 2018. She recently took up the role of Fostering Reviewing Officer with SLF. Amie is currently undergoing foster carer induction training and is also involved in conducting standard of care investigations.

Prior to social work, she attained her first degree in Politics and master’s in business administration. She has a diverse work experience working in both the public and private sectors in The Gambia. She worked as a management and gender/diversity trainer, human resources manager and recruitment coordinator.

Amie’s personality and social work practice is very much people centred,  strength based  and systemic approached. She has a strong passion for fostering assessments because it is always an opportunity to support candidates to explore the strengths and experiences they will bring into fostering as well as their areas of development.

Amie spends her time outside of work enjoying the pleasures of family time and engaging in pro bono advocacy work for women’s development projects in The Gambia.
